چکیده
This study aimed to evaluate the impacts of different forage cutting intensities, obtained by grazing simulation, on floristic diversity and productivity a pasture cultivated with spreading liverseed grass. The experiment was set up in randomized block design, four replications treatments arranged 5 × 2 factorial scheme, five levels intensity simulated (0, 25, 50, 75, 95% canopy) associated two weed coexistence (presence absence). evaluations diversity, number individuals, total dry matter weeds were at 15, 30, 45, 60, 90 days after simulation (DAGS). All plots evaluated end experimental period (90 DAGS) for amount biomass produced pasture. results showed that higher increased accumulated grown grass, reducing 56% production forage.

Milk production of fall-calving dairy cows during summer grazing of grass or grass-clover pasture.
Milk production of fall-calving dairy cows during subsequent summer grazing was evaluated in two consecutive years using a total of 80 mid- to late-lactation Holsteins. Cows calved during September and October and grazed from April to August in the following year. In yr 1, 27 cows grazed a native grass pasture and 13 cows grazed a native grass-clover mixed pasture containing 26% red clover and ...
متن کاملEvaluation of a mobile computerized grain feeder for lactating cows grazing grass pasture.
The objective of this study was to evaluate a mobile computerized grain feeder for use to feed individually Holstein cows grazing grass pasture. Thirty-two Holstein cows averaging 95 d of lactation and 39.3 kg/d of milk were rotationally grazed on predominantly Dactylis glomerata pastures for 9 wk starting in early May. Cows were blocked according to parity, days of lactation, and milk yield. C...
متن کاملEvidence of Low Sodium Status in Beef Cattle Grazing Coloniao Guinea Grass Pasture
Playne (1970) suggested that the levels of sodium (Na) in some tropical grasses are below those considered sufficient for the requirements of lactating cows. We examined the concentration of Na in guinea grass from a number of areas in Queensland. Levels in creeping guinea (P. maximum Q 8132), P. maximum cv. Coloniao, P. maximum cv. Hamil and P. maximum (C.P.I. 37910, Makeuni) ranged from 0.007...

One of the most important issue at natural resources management is plant diversity conservation and detecting the different effects of usage methods on the its quality and quantity. This research was done with the goal of investigating the disaster center (village) at evaluation of rangeland damage with the accent of plant cover combination and diversity in Sabalan mountain southeast rang...
متن کاملEffects of herbage mass and herbage quality on spatially heterogeneous grazing by cattle in a bahia grass ( Paspalum notatum ) pasture
Small-scale patches (locations of 50 cm × 50 cm at a feeding station level) in a bahia grass ( Paspalum notatum ) pasture under cattle grazing were investigated in terms of herbage mass, quality and utilisation during a grazing season (May–November), to characterise the quantityquality relationship of patches and relate this to spatially heterogeneous grazing by animals. Nitrogen concentration ...
